Serie of 4 posters, born from a collaboration between
30DAPC & ZOUBIDA 💕
30DAPC is a project run by Elboukhari Idsalme, aiming to experiment with Tifinagh letters, typography, and Amazigh culture.
Elboukhari is a young self-taught graphic designer, based in Laayoune, at the South of Morocco.
Sophia (Zoubida founder)’s grandmother, Kenza was Amazigh, from the Atlas region.
… Came naturally the idea of exploring Amazigh culture, through a Zoubida lens.
POSTER 1/4: POP ART'MAZIGH
A tribute to the the last letter of the Tifinagh alphabets: Yaẓẓ (ⵥ)
Pop Art'Mazigh playfully inserts Amazigh heritage within Pop Art, sharing common colour references.
The letter or sympbol ⵥ is often seen on carpets and front doors as a protection from the evil eye.
Picture with carpet (reference): Morocco's Ait Khebbach Tribe Weavings. Photographed by Serge Anton
