"ZOUBIDA IS A WAY TO CONNECT WITH MY MOROCCAN ROOTS - BUT ALSO A RESPONSE TO HOW THE INDUSTRY OPERATES. WE DO ART, FASHION & HOMEWARE. EVERYTHING IS SOURCED & MADE IN MOROCO, IN COLLABORATION WITH TALENTED ARTISANS I KNOW”

How it started

Behind Zoubida is Sophia Kacimi, a French-Moroccan creative working at the intersection of craft, fashion, interior design and art.
After years in the luxury industry with houses like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Burberry, Sophia felt the need to bring a deeper sense of meaning back into her work.
She founded Zoubida as a human-scale project shaped by her desire to reconnect with her Moroccan roots and to explore more ethical ways of creating and producing.

From Morocco with love

On her father’s side, Sophia comes from a Moroccan Amazigh family from Khénifra.
Today, she lives between London and Morocco.
Since the very beginning of Zoubida’s adventure, her father, Moulay Abdellah Kacimi, has played an essential role, supporting production and logistics.

One golden rule

Everything is sourced & made in Morocco, in collaboration with talented artisans Sophia personally knows!

A multidisciplinary creative studio

Zoubida reimagines these textiles through an artistic and multidisciplinary approach. The creations unfold across three main forms: art-to-wear, art-to-decorate, and art-to-play.

Awards

Sophia Kacimi’s work has been recognized with the Creative Entrepreneur Award from the Institut du Monde Arabe in 2025 and the Craft and Commitment Award from Maison Mode Méditerranée in 2024.
